
Kolymbari is a picturesque seaside village 24 km west of the city of Chania. The population of the region amounts to 1000 inhabitants and they mainly deals with tourism, fisheries and agriculture.

From the point of view of geomorphology, the area is of great interest as the visitor’s gaze is fixed on the diversity of the landscape – the sea, mountains, plains and gorges.
Finally, in the surrounding areas, visitors have the opportunity to admire monasteries and temples with post-Byzantine icons and ecclesiastical items. You can also admire fishing boats, ancient anchors, hooves, fireworks, fish collections and other marine organisms at the Fisheries Museum.
